This category is open to any office, industrial or mixed-use property that has incorporated unique amenities that appeal to their specific demographic of tenants. The amenities can include cutting-edge technology, sustainable features or any other aspect that makes their property stand out. Entries will be judged based on accomplishments in 2023.
 

This category is open to any commercial real estate broker who has executed a large, strategic or creative deal in 2023. This person could specialize in leasing or investment sales, as well as landlord or tenant representation. Submission can be for work on a single property, a portfolio, an area of particular specialization, etc.

Criteria: This category is open to any commercial investment advisory firm’s local or regional office that has demonstrated exceptional performance in 2023. Entries will be judged based on the office’s overall achievements.

This category is open to any development company demonstrating excellence in office, mixed-use, retail or industrial properties, including sound development practices, a solid business plan with strong financial decision making, and a positive influence on the locations where it develops, preferably also reflecting innovation, creativity and efficiency. Entries will be judged based on accomplishments in 2023.

This category is open to M&A, portfolio reconfiguration, organic expansion, formation of new alliances/divisions, recruitment of critical teams/executives, corporate financing, and other corporate- or portfolio-level strategic efforts launched or completed (or an important component launched or completed—please specify component) in 2023 to improve strategic position or turn around the company.





This category is open to industrial projects that demonstrate outstanding execution of the developer's functional and aesthetic objectives to target a specific demographic. The judges will discuss the project's architecture, curb appeal, space planning and awareness of the target demographic/market. An important milestone must have been completed in 2022 (groundbreaking, major pre-lease, major financing component, completion of a phase, etc.). Multi-phase projects can be considered in their entirety if a critical component achieved a milestone in 2023, or a component can be submitted individually.

This category will showcase financial transactions that closed in 2023 and illustrate ingenuity and business savvy, providing a benefit to the borrower and the lender. Transactions may apply to single properties or portfolios, may involve debt and/or equity, may be financings or refinancings, and could involve a purchase, development/redevelopment, net lease, capital raise or other financial engineering.

This category is open to any commercial property that has gone above and beyond to promote sustainability or social programs in 2023.



Criteria: This category honors a real estate company that made strides in diversity, equity and inclusion at the corporate and/or property level. Entries will be judged based on accomplishments in 2023.


Criteria: This honors a real estate company for their humanitarianism/philanthropy on the community, national or international level. Special consideration will be given to those who actively participate in the charity/cause vs. giving generous monetary donations.


This category will showcase a portfolio sale that closed in 2023, contributed to the buyer’s or seller’s business strategy (at the property or company level), produced value for the buyer and/or seller, and exhibited creativity in surmounting challenges. May be a cash transaction or a 1031 exchange. 

This category will showcase a sales transaction that closed in 2023, contributed to the buyer’s or seller’s business strategy (at the property or corporate level), produced value for the buyer and/or seller, and exhibited creativity in surmounting challenges. May be a cash transaction or a 1031 exchange.

This category will showcase an office, industrial or mixed-use lease transaction that closed in 2023, contributed value to the landlord’s business strategy (at the property, portfolio or company level), attained tenant satisfaction and surmounted challenges through creativity and ingenuity.

This category recognizes quality property management plans that took place in 2023 and relate to a specific building or a group of buildings. The program should advance the property’s performance and landlord-tenant relations, producing financial benefits for the landlord and improving client satisfaction. (Consider technological improvements, upgrades, innovations, etc.) 

This category is open to any on-site property manager who has demonstrated exceptional performance in terms of occupancy, tenant retention and/or satisfaction as well as performance and maintenance of the property. Entries will be judged based on accomplishments in 2023.

This category is open to examples of repositioning, redevelopment or turnaround that transform an outdated or poorly performing property or complex into a well-leased, financially successful asset(s). This may or may not include a change in use. An important milestone must have been completed in 2023 (groundbreaking, major pre-lease, major financing component, phase completion, etc.).

This category is open to anyone 40 or under who is active in the commercial real estate industry (investors, property managers, brokers, developers, asset managers, financiers, etc.). They may be new to the industry or a longtime member, but they are moving through the ranks, accomplishing exciting things—a star on the rise! Company principals do not qualify. Entries will be judged based on accomplishments in 2023.  

Criteria: This category is open to any high-level executive at a company that owns, invests in, develops and/or manages an industrial property or portfolio; an individual who has shown outstanding leadership and taken the organization to new heights. Entries will be judged based on accomplishments in 2023.

The judges will discuss unbuilt projects in the context of proposed architecture and design, space planning and awareness of target demographic/market. This category is open to designs conceived or created in 2023.
